In fact if you visit Caches without MetaMask or another web3 browser extension installed it will default to a WalletConnect QR code. WalletConnect actually has a lot of options including signing with Opensea or Looksrare like the Discord. More sign in options are going to be in the next version of the authentication system which is coming soon.
